The Stevensborough Men’s Club (SMC) had its beginning when Lenny Bunczyk found a copy of “Start Your Own Secret Club” while rooting around at the dump.

The thought of organizing a men’s group first entered his mind when he got his feet tangled in a discarded fan belt and came face-to-face with someone else’s garbage. There was an inscription inside the cover. It said ‘Chuck.’

“Musta been well known,” Lenny thought to himself. “A guy has to be pretty well known to only go by his first name. Sorta like Madonna or Liberace or ‘the artist formerly known as Prince.’ ”

It never occurred to Lenny that, perhaps, the former owner was only making a note to himself to get rid of the book …
